Yoga Nidra - No Heat

Yoga Nidra is a form of meditation that translates from Sanskrit as “sleep” yoga.  This specific meditation practice focuses on body and breath consciousness. Yoga Nidra is conscious rest that takes you to a place between sleep and awake where the parasympathetic nervous system (rest response) is fully engaged. Complete rest in this way promotes wellness for all systems of the body down to a cellular level while keeping the mind engaged in deep meditation. Researchers have indicated that 30-minutes of Yoga Nidra may be the rest equivalent to one hour of sleep or more! 

We practice Yoga Nidra lying down in Savasana.
